ten images of inspiration : the golden age of illustration.

I don't know how much I have mentioned it on here, but I am completely obsessed with the illustration of the fifties and sixties. Ever since I can remember, I have been collecting old children's books, retro cookbooks, and tear-outs and storing them for inspiration. I don't know what exactly it is, but there is just something with the illustration during those eras that I absolutely adore and will always cherish greatly. How about you?

Illustrators (from top to bottom): Alice & Martin Provensen, Patric Hudson, Magic Jelly: Mary Blair, Virginia Parsons, Charley Harper, Richard Scarry, Sigrid and Hans Lammle, Art Seiden, Lefor Openo, and Karoly Reich.
