A moment of silence... for those in Australia, who have suffered loss of life resulting from the catastrophic floods. For those whose love ones remain amongst the missing, and significant property damage. The flood waters continue to swell as I write this and approximately 9,000 homes may be lost before the muddy snake infested waters cease.

A moment of silence... For those ravaged by the Haitian earthquake exactly one year ago today. More than 250,000 were killed by the powerful 7.1 earthquake. Hundreds of thousands were left injured and homeless. While much relief was promised, Haiti and its people continue to suffer and remain in need of medical assistance and economic support.

A moment of silence... For those tragically killed and harmed during last weekends shooting rampage in Arizona. One victim, a nine year old girl killed was born on September 11, 2001. When will these senseless killings stop? When will return to a civilized society?
