Great Issue

I think this month's issue of Ivy & Piper is excellent.  They've certainly highlighted some lovely things.  In particular I loved their feature on Fenton and Fenton...one of my favourite furniture and homewares stores in Melbourne.

I also thoroughly enjoyed their interview with my friend Stuart Membery.  He really is such a talent and his home, which I have had the pleasure of visiting, is seriously beautiful and so stylish.

And last but definitely not least, I loved seeing our friend Paul Hunt featured.  He too is so talented and creative.  I am always inspired after he has dropped into B&S for a visit.

Overall a great issue I think!!  Our online Australian magazines are just getting better and better.  I can't wait to see what Adore magazine and Ivy & Piper magazine come up with next.

Home Interior Inspiration: Victoria Smith's San Francisco Bungalow

Rue magazine launched two weeks ago, but I'm not done talking about it. This is the beautiful home of San Francisco blogger and stylist Victoria Smith. I love her house and her kitchen!

If you haven't been to her blog sfgirlbybay, I suggest you hop over and you won't be disappointed! It happens to be one of my newest favorite blogs:) You can also this article from Rue.

Home Interior Inspiration: the Premiere of Rue Online Magazine

The long awaited launch of online magazine Rue is finally here. It's about ten a.m. where I'm at, and I'm supposed to be working on my articles but I can't help but feast my eyes on every page.

Because it's the Premiere Issue, it's only fitting to introduce the founders and the  entire team behind this beautiful project. And yes, there is a tour of co-founder Crystal Gentilello's fabulous one-bedroom apartment.

Readers are also invited to take a look inside the elegant abodes of blogger/designer Heather Clawson; design legend, Vicente Wolf; Hayden-Harnett's Toni Hacker & Ben Harnett; interior designer, Julia Edelmann; Larry and Jamie Laubhan Oliver (the grandiose bedroom from the sneak peek is from their house); painter, Sam Gilliam  which was styled and recreated by Mary Douglas Drysdale.

I especially enjoyed touring the stunning home of San Francisco blogger and stylist Victoria Smith. Yes, she's that famous blogger of sfgirlbybay. Her passion for bohemian style decorating transcends in every corner and space of her beautiful bungalow.

My list of blog love has definitely lengthened. I have set myself to visit my new discoveries in the following days. Design Love Fest by Bri Emery (She designed the cover of Rue) being my newest favorite. Holly, from Decor8 (one of my favorites on my blogroll) is featured on its Blogger side-by-side segment, along with  Ronda Carman from Allthebestblog

Foodies would surely love the How Do You Like Them segment which in this issue, features apple recipes. There are party tips from HGTV designer Emily Henderson with free stationery printables. Maegan Gonzalez of MaeMae Paperie is featured in Studio Tour plus a free stationery download exclusively for Rue readers so if you're into lovely paper, you have to check it out.

Interior guru Grant K. Gibson walks the streets of Laurel Heights in West Coast and stops by the best decor shops the city has to offer. If you're a man or a woman who likes blue, Will Taylor have some great finds for you.

Best girlfriends, Jen Gotch and Jamie Coulter celebrates the 2nd year anniversary of Ban.do with a bang! Fill your day with glitter, glamour, color and inspiration as you browse the crisp shots photographed by Max Wanger. It's one of my  most favorites in this issue. Then of course, there are more shops to discover, more places to see in just a click of the mouse.

The magazine is obviously a fruitage of hard work and love.  Congratulations to the Rue Magazine team for a fabulous and successful debut!

Looking Forward To This...

Michelle Adams is at it again with her business partner, photographer Patrick Cline. Here's what they are about to launch into;

{Excerpt taken from M.A. Belle}

In a time when shelter publications are turning their last pages...

OUR MISSION is to reopen the doors of accessible design. By embracing an online platform we provide inspiration at the click of a finger, directly connecting our readers to their favorite products and resources. Our freedom from page limits means that we can share more content in each issue, delivering an intimate look into the way people really live. At Lonny, we value independent thinking and believe not in following trends but rather in making choices that lead to happiness. We believe that good design and affordable design can coexist and that true inspiration can be found in the teeniest of homes or in the grandest of spaces.

Coming Fall 2009 ;)

I will definitely be checking back for updates on their new venture!
